Use of the Facilities at Mount Fitzwilliam

Government House is the official residence of the Governor-General and as such, use of the facilities or the property for private events is not normally allowed, however, the Governor-General might be willing to approve use of the Ballroom by non-profit national organizations staging approved charitable events. At such events it is appropriate that the Governor-General should be the Guest of Honour.

Requests for the use of the Ballroom must be made in writing to the Secretary to the Governor-General at least three months in advance of the proposed date of the event, inasmuch as there might be pre-arranged National events for that facility. Full details of the event and all related information must be included to allow full consideration of the matter.
